Oil painting on canvas depicting a sleeping baby attributed to Francesco Albani or Albano (Italian,1578-1660). Albani was an Italian Baroque painter active in Bologna, Rome and Florence. Measures 23" (58.42cm) width by 18" (45.72cm) height plus 5" (12.7cm) frame. The frame does have a circular inner frame which exceeds into the painting up to 3-4 inches. Provenance: From an Italian lady, 80 years in age, residing in Miami. She and her husband were lovers of antiques and purchased items, mainly artwork, from antique stores and auctions. She lived first in Italy, then in Venezuela and currently in the USA.
